Andrea and Jordan engaged – Race and Relgious

Andrea and Jordan chose to do their engagement session at Race and Religious. Race and Religious is a beautiful venue located in New Orleans, La. Its definitely a one of a kind venue you will surely fall in love just like we did.

The proposal from the bride.
Q. Tell us about the proposal. We want all the details!
A. Oh my goodness where do I start. So the boys birthday is in April, and his mom works out of town in Dallas. So Jordan told me that they were going to have a party with his family to celebrate their birthday on Saturday, April 18, because that was the only weekend his mom could come into town. So I didn’t think anything of it and I ordered their cake, like I do every year, and I even worked the night before because I had no idea. So the day comes and my family and his family start showing up (like no big deal-nothing out of the ordinary), and then Jordan says to me, “Andrea, sit down I made you something.” So I sit down and he hands me this scrapbook. The first thing that comes to mind is, omg I’ve been so busy with school and work and I know he’s been wanting his annual scrapbook that he took it upon himself to do it. So I am ecstatic and crying because (well I cry for everything)I am so in awe that someone could care and love me so much to take time to actually make me something. So I am literally looking through this scrapbook with tears rolling down my face because i am so happy about this, that i don’t even realize everyone is literally circled around me with their phones recording me and capturing every second of this moment. So i finally get to the second to last page and it states, “You are my soulmate, my lovie, you are my dream come true, from now until the end of time I give my heart and soul to you. You are perfect and I wouldn’t want to change a thing about you….well maybe just your last name!” After reading that I FINALLY realized what was going on. As tears are rolling down my face of joy, I turn to the very last page and it says, “Will you marry me?” As I look up at him, he is on one knee and full of such joy and happiness, he only manages to get out “Will You?” I of course said yes and everyone is in tears and happy for us. It was the most perfect moment of my entire life. I couldn’t have pictured it any other way than with my family around to witness and experience this whole special event in our lives.
