Chelsea and Jonathan flew in from New York to do their engagement session here in New orleans. Jonathan had proposed in New Orleans so it has a special place in their hearts. We shot around Jackson Square and inside the French Quarter. You could feel the love they have for each other and I had a great morning with them! How they met and the proposal! They met their freshman year in college at the University at Buffalo, they lived on the same floor in our dormitory. They quickly became good friends because they lived three doors down from each other, and soon after began doing everything together. Once they both left for winter break, Chelsea realized that she had become so attached to and fond of Jonathan, who had always felt that way because he had been in love with her the whole time, and we spent nearly every free minute video chatting with each other. When they got back from Winter break and saw each other for the first time since break started, they knew it was the beginning of our life together as an inseparable unit. Chelsea was a French major in college and always had a passion for visiting places with French culture. Knowing this, Jonathan surprised her with a trip to New Orleans where we stayed at the Maison DuPuy in the French Quarter. Jonathan found a really nice courtyard at the hotel, and wrote a love letter, which he read to her in that courtyard the first night they were there during his proposal. Chelsea still has the letter saved, and since, we have always been drawn back to New Orleans, a place we both fell in love with.
